Amentum is seeking a motivated engineer to support operations at the DOE National Energy Technology Laboratory in Albany OR,  This position will support the facilities engineering group by; performing small scale design projects, evaluating and optimizing existing systems, troubleshooting systems, and working closely with fellow site operations personnel.  The following are essential responsibilities for this position.

1)Perform and develop a range of facility design development projects, facility analysis assessments, review tasks, and detailed project cost estimates.

2)Develop detailed facility construction statement of work packages for building equipment replacement, site improvements, site infrastructure improvements, etc.

3)Develop, maintain, and produce technical documentation and specifications.

4)Conduct site visits and investigate engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations.

5)Develop detailed AutoCAD design drawings using approved CAD standards.

6)Use engineering computer scheduling and cost estimating software to properly plan projects.

7)Update project tracking spreadsheets.

8)Assist engineering staff in completing facility engineering projects.

9)Establish and maintain a filing system or databases as needed for tracking project status.

10)Directly interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews, and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.

11)Conduct site visits and investigate engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations.

12)Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.

13)Facilitate on-site access for contractors bidding on projects and communicate project details effectively.

14)Conduct engineering project meetings.

Minimum Requirements:

US Citizen

Bachelor of Science in Engineering,

3 or more years of relevant experience is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

PE in Oregon is preferred.
